If you’ve been following Jewellers Vault for a while, you’ll know that when we reuse your gold, the journey starts by melting it down into a solid bar. It’s raw, it’s unrefined, and honestly… it doesn’t look anything like the beautiful piece it’s about to become.

Transforming that bar into jewellery involves a series of precise, hands-on steps - but one of the most satisfying stages is shaping the metal itself. Taking something flat and lifeless and giving it form, curve, and purpose.
Enter: the ring bender.
It might not sound glamorous, but this tool is an absolute game-changer. Gold is a surprisingly tough metal, and coaxing it into a perfect circular shape takes both the right equipment and a skilled hand. The ring bender allows us to apply controlled pressure, gradually guiding the metal into its new life as a ring.
In this process, there’s a moment where everything shifts - where a flat strip of gold stops being just material and starts becoming something meaningful.

We first met this client years ago when we crafted her wedding band - a piece that symbolised one of the most important moments of her life. At the time, her entire jewellery collection told a consistent story: white gold, from her engagement ring to her future wedding band and everything in between. It was cohesive, timeless, and perfectly “her”…
Until it didn't.
As the years passed, her personal style evolved. Slowly but surely, she found herself drawn to the warmth, richness, and glow of yellow gold. What once felt perfect no longer reflected who she had become. And while her love story remained unchanged, the jewellery representing it didn’t feel quite right anymore.
That’s where we came back in.
Remembering her first experience with us, she knew exactly where to turn. But this time, she came prepared. She took her time, searching for inspiration that truly resonated with her new style - and when she found it, she didn’t hesitate.
She brought us everything: her original engagement ring (a piece that no longer quite felt like her) and her wedding band (which she loved for its strength, but not its look anymore). Along with these came something even more special - beautiful stones, full of history and meaning, ready to be reimagined.
From there, the transformation began.
Using her existing stones and introducing rich yellow gold, we created a piece that felt entirely new, yet deeply familiar. A ring that honoured her past while embracing her present. She wanted something bold and durable - a thicker band she could wear every day without worry - so we designed exactly that.
The result? A ring that felt like her once again.
Because sometimes, it’s not about starting over - it’s about evolving what you already have into something that truly fits the person you’ve become.

This client definitely did - and we’re so glad she trusted us to bring that vision to life!
After years of collecting meaningful pieces, her jewellery box had become a treasure chest of memories. Each ring, bracelet, and fragment held its own story - moments, milestones, and sentimental value that simply couldn’t be replaced. But like many collections, these pieces weren’t being worn as often as they deserved.
So, we set out to change that.
By carefully melting down her collection, we were able to preserve the essence of every piece and transform them into something bold, beautiful, and completely wearable - a giant solid gold handmade bangle.
The result? A statement piece that doesn’t just look incredible, but carries a lifetime of memories in every curve.
While there are far too many stories behind each original piece to tell, the most important part is this: instead of sitting hidden away, those memories now shine brightly on her wrist every single day.
