This client came to us with a ring that, technically, ticked all the boxes. Beautiful stones? Absolutely. Sparkle potential? Through the roof. But the design? Heavy. Enclosed. Blocky. The kind of setting that keeps diamonds under lock and key instead of letting them party in the light.And here’s the thing - she loved her stones. LOVED them. (Honestly… same.) But every time she looked at her ring, she felt like it wasn’t doing them justice. Instead of elevating the diamonds, the design was overpowering them.That’s where the magic happens.We reimagined the entire piece. Out went the boxy structure. In came sweeping shoulders that guide your eye gracefully toward the centre. We opened the setting to invite light in from every angle. And of course - claw-set diamonds. What do you do with sentimental jewellery that you no longer wear?
It’s one of the most common questions we’re asked - and the answer is almost always the same: you don’t have to let it sit in a drawer, and you don’t have to sell it.
This client came to us with a yellow gold band that meant something… but didn’t feel like them anymore. They don’t wear yellow gold. They didn’t want a remodel. They didn’t want stones added or shapes changed.
They wanted something bold.
“I don’t even want to be able to tell it’s the same ring.”
Challenge accepted.
Instead of redesigning the piece entirely, we focused on transformation. We cleaned and polished the band, then coated it in rhodium plating to shift it from warm yellow to crisp white. To finish, we gave it a softened satin texture - subtle, modern, and beautifully understated.
The result? A completely refreshed ring that feels brand new, while still carrying all of its original meaning.
Sometimes repurposing doesn’t mean melting something down. Sometimes it just means seeing it differently.

Every custom piece's journey begins with a story - and this one started with a beautiful collection of old jewellery.
Our client brought in a selection of sentimental pieces and asked us one simple question: “Can we use as much of this as possible?” From there, the design journey began.
After carefully assessing her stones and gold, we started sketching. The goal was to honour the original pieces while creating something that felt fresh, wearable, and unmistakably her. We explored multiple directions and eventually landed on four unique ring designs - each one showcasing the stones in a slightly different way.
Some designs lean classic, others more modern. Some highlight symmetry, while others embrace movement and detail.
All four use her existing jewellery as the foundation - proof that old pieces can absolutely be transformed into something extraordinary.
Now comes the hardest part… choosing just one!

Some projects are special. Some are meaningful. And some are just plain fun from the very first conversation! This was one of those pieces…
Our client arrived with a clear vision: she wanted two rings designed to fit together perfectly, and she loved the organic, flowing look of melted edges. She also had a collection of older jewellery - pieces full of history and sentiment, but no longer worn. The goal was simple and exciting: transform everything into something bold, wearable, and completely new.
We sorted through her diamonds and sapphires, mapping out how each stone could play a role in the new design. Rather than letting beautiful materials sit forgotten in a jewellery box, we gave them a second life as part of a cohesive, statement-making set.
The final result is a pair of rings that lock together beautifully but are just as striking when worn separately. Each ring has its own personality, its own texture, its own moment to shine - yet together they tell a complete story. The melted-edge styling adds movement and individuality, ensuring no two angles look quite the same.
