The Ring That Was Lost… But Not Forgotten 💍❤️

This poor client has been in the wars a little lately!

Years ago, one of the stones fell out of her favourite ring. Luckily, she managed to find the missing stone - and, even better, she knew exactly where to bring it.

Yep… she brought it to Jewellers Vault! 😉

We carefully reset the stone and sent our very happy client on her way. Her beloved ring was back on her finger, good as new.

But then came the fateful day…

Somehow, somewhere, that very same ring disappeared. It had been on her finger for years, so no one is quite sure how it happened, but despite searching, the ring was never found.

And our client simply wasn't ready to say goodbye. ❤️

Rather than replace it with something completely different, she decided to have her original ring recreated.

Luckily, she had a photo of the original - which gave us something incredibly valuable to work from.

We sourced new rubies to match the original as closely as possible, and then our client brought in a couple of older rings she was ready to part with. We carefully selected stones from those pieces that most closely resembled the stones in her lost ring.

Those stones, along with the new rubies, were incorporated into the new design.

And then… voila! ✨

A new ring with the look and character of the original - but with a little extra sentimental history hidden within it.

The original ring may still be missing, but its story didn't have to end there.

Sometimes jewellery isn't just jewellery. Sometimes it's a little piece of your history that you're simply not ready to let go of.

Another Forever 💍❤️

Sometimes, a piece of jewellery isn’t just something you wear - it becomes part of you.

This lovely client absolutely adored her ring set. They had been on her finger for so long that they had become part of her everyday life, carrying years of memories, milestones and sentimental meaning along with them.

But after so many years of faithful service, the rings were starting to show their age. The settings were becoming very worn, and the rings had also become too small to comfortably wear.

Rather than simply replacing them with something completely different, we looked at how we could give her beloved rings a new lease on life.

The client also had a pair of sentimental wedding rings that she no longer needed in their original form. Her idea? Melt all the gold together and use it to create the new pair.

Well… when you bring us a collection of precious memories and ask us to turn them into something you can keep wearing, the answer is pretty much always going to be YES! ✨

She didn't want to lose the character and design of her original rings, so we recreated them - just thicker, stronger and ready for another forever.

The result is a new pair of rings made from the gold of her old ones and her sentimental wedding rings, carrying all that history forward into a design she already knew and loved.

Because sometimes you don't need a new story.

You just need to give the old one a little more strength to keep going. ❤️

Sometimes the ring you fall in love with isn’t the ring you need to buy. 💍

Today's lovely client came across a ring that she absolutely fell in love with. You know the feeling - “Yep. That’s the one.”

She came very close to buying it then and there… but before she reached for her wallet, she stopped to think about the jewellery she already had sitting at home.

She had several rings that she no longer wore, but there was one problem: she couldn’t simply let them go.

They were sentimental. They belonged to her family history. Each piece held memories and meaning, even though the jewellery itself no longer felt like her.

And then came the lightbulb moment:

What if she could use the jewellery she already had to create the ring she had just fallen in love with?

Enter Jewellers Vault. ✨

We sat down together, talked through the design she loved, and made a few little tweaks to turn it into something completely unique to her.

Then it was time to get to work!

Some of her existing gold was melted down and transformed into the little gold nuggets that feature throughout the design, while the rest was used to create the ring itself. We then incorporated those nuggets into the finished piece, giving the ring a beautiful, organic texture and - most importantly - a whole lot of personal history.

And then there were the diamonds.

Those were a bit of a bonus… because, well, diamonds are a girl's best friend! 💎

What started as a ring she nearly bought became something much more meaningful: a completely one-of-a-kind piece made using the gold and stones she already owned.

Her old jewellery didn’t have to sit unworn in a jewellery box, and it didn’t have to be parted with.

It simply needed a little imagination - and a new chapter.

That’s the beauty of jewellery redesign. Sometimes you don't need something new. You just need to see what you already have in a new way.
